Quick facts: In Nov 2003, work got underway on the Betara natural
gas processing plant and associated facilities in Jambi Province, central
Sumatra. The development is by a consortium of PetroChina, Petronas, and Pertamina which encompasses gas
gathering and field facilities in the Jabung block, the Betara gas plant,
pipelines, and a fractionation unit and offshore facilities for shipment of
LPG and condensate products.

Quick facts: This plant was built at a remote location on the south bank
of the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan. Over 90% of the equipment was
delivered by barge. The turnkey project included transformers, a 150kV
switchyard, DCS, water treatment and cooling water systems, plus fuel
supply and storage facilities. A second similar block was added in 2004.

Block in South Sulawesi. A 60-MW Siemens
gas turbine was added in 2008.

third CCGT block is in planning.
