Quick facts: In Nov 2003, work got underway on the Betara natural gas processing plant and associated facilities in Jambi Province, central Sumatra. The development is by a consortium of PetroChina, Petronas, and Pertamina which encompasses gas gathering and field facilities in the Jabung block, the Betara gas plant, pipelines, and a fractionation unit and offshore facilities for shipment of LPG and condensate products.

Quick facts: GE received the order from prime contractor Sumitomo for three dual-fuel gas 9001E turbines for Muara Karang and a 150-MW steamer was was added in 1994. In Jul 2007, MHI received a turnkey order to repower three old 100-MW steam sets with two gas turbines.

Quick facts: This plant was built at a remote location on the south bank of the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan. Over 90% of the equipment was delivered by barge. The turnkey project included transformers, a 150kV switchyard, DCS, water treatment and cooling water systems, plus fuel supply and storage facilities. A second similar block was added in 2004.

Quick facts: This plant was ordered in late 1996 by a then-JV of PT Trihasra Sarana Jaya Purnama, Energy Equity Corp, and Tenneco Holdings Pty Ltd. It is now 100% owned by Energy World Corp and fires gas from the Sengkang Block in South Sulawesi. A 60-MW Siemens gas turbine was added in 2008.

Quick facts: The site also has four small decommissioned steam sets (2 X 22 MW, 2 X 45 MW) and several small simple-cycle gas turbines. At one time, there was a proposal to relocate the 45-MW steam sets to North Bali. A third CCGT block is in planning.
