Livorno-Ferraris Location: VC Operator: E.ON Italia Produzione Configuration: 800-MW, 2+1 CCGT block with SGT5-4000F gas turbines Operation: 2008 Fuel: natural gas HRSG supplier: STF T/G supplier: Siemens EPC: Siemens, Maire Tecnimont Quick facts: The order for this €400mn plant was placed in Nov 2005 and the facility was turned over in Sep 2008. The plant site is approximately midway between Milan and Turin and is connected to the power grid by a 16.5km transmission tie-line and to the Italian gas grid by a 600m pipeline spur. Design thermal efficiency is 57%. The plant layout was specifically designed to meet local height limitations and other conventions. The exterior architectural treatment is by Studio Introzz. The air-cooled condenser system was supplied by GEA Scambiatori and built by Bonatti.
