Benghazi North Location: Libya Operator: General Electricity Co of Libya Configuration: 3 x 145 MW GT13E1, 1 X 160 MW GT13E2 gas turbines Operation: 1994-2004 Fuel: natural gas, diesel oil T/G supplier: Alstom EPC: Alstom, ACESCo Quick facts: This site is about 14km north of Benghazi. The plant operated on diesel oil until 2003 when a gas pipeline connection was finished. Since then operated mainly on natural gas. HRSGs along with two 150-MW steam turbines are being added under a Jul 1999, €300mn contract to Daewoo Corp. In Aug 1999, Daewoo obtained guarantees from the Export-Import Bank of Korea and a $48.2mn loan from the Islamic Development Bank for the project.

El-Feel Field Location: Libya Operator: Mellitah Oil & Gas Configuration: 4 X 25 MW 5001 gas turbines Operation: 2010 Fuel: gas T/G supplier: Nuovo Pignone EPC: Bonatti SpA, Joannou & Paraskevaides Quick facts: This project included the four gas turbines, a substation, equipped with 11KV, 6,6KV and LV switchgear, crude oil metering and treatment units, and other auxiliaries.

Zawia Location: Libya Operator: General Electricity Co of Libya Configuration: Three 480-MW CCGT blocks with GT13E2 gas turbines Operation: 2003-2008 Fuel: natural gas, light fuel oil HRSG supplier: Doosan T/G supplier: Alstom, Fuji EPC: Hyundai, Studio Tecnico di Ingegneria, ACESCo, Tractebel India, Lahmeyer, Sejong Corp Quick facts: Zawia is at a coastal site in Zawia City 50km west of Tripoli. Zelten Field Location: Libya Operator: Sirte Oil Co Configuration: 2 x 15 MW GT11L Operation: 1968 Fuel: natural gas T/G supplier: Stal EPC: BBC Quick facts: Zelten is 170km south of Brega. It is the largest oil field in the Gulf of Sirte and was the location of the first producing well in Libya. Zelten was put in production by Esso in 1961 and now has 229 wells producing oil and associated gas. is used when grid supply is interrupted.
