Kaliningrad TETS-2 Phase I Location: Kaliningrad (Northewestern FD) Operator: Inter RAO UES Configuration: 470-MW, 2+1 CCGT block with GTE-160 gas turbines CHP Operation: 2005 Fuel: natural gas HRSG supplier: Podoloski T/G supplier: Siemens EPC: Teploelektroproekt, Tsentrenergomontazh Quick facts: This site is on the southeastern outskirts of the city of Kaliningrad. Project development began in Apr 1991 when the city government began assembling the necessary property. In 1994, the regional administration decided to double the plant size and VNIPIEnergoprom completed the feasibility study for the extension. In 1998, the project company was reorganized with RAO UES holding 67.3% and Yantarenergo the balance. Phase I was bid in 2002 and Belenergostroy (now Tsentroenergomontazh) was selected as the general contractor while Energomashexport-Power Machines was awarded the equipment contract. | Kirishi SDPP CC Location: Leningrad (Northwestern FD) Operator: OGK-2 Configuration: 818-MW, 2+1 CCGT block with SGT5-4000F gas turbines CHP Operation: 2012 Fuel: natural gas HRSG supplier: Podoloski T/G supplier: Siemens, LMZ, Electrosila EPC: JSC EMA - EMAlliance, SZEM JSC. Quick facts: This project involved repowering Unit-6 (online 1975) at the eixsting conventional power station, which is located 150km southwest of St Petersburg. Siemens supplied the GTs and generators and new control systems. Construction began in May 2008 and the project was commissioned on 23 Mar 2012 as the largest CCGT in Russia.
