Antalya Location: Burdur Operator: Aksa Enerji Uretim AS Configuration: 2 X 120-MW, 2+1 CCGT blocks with LM6000PC Sprint gas turbines Operation: 2009 Fuel: natural gas HRSG supplier: Innovative Steam Technologies T/G supplier: GE EPC: Aksa, BGM Quick facts: In Jun 2008, Ex-Im Bank announced a unique four-party $99.7mn credit agreement to support the sale of these machines, which comprise Phase-1 of the Antalya project. The export transaction met the criteria of Ex-Im’s Environmental Exports Program due to the low NOx characteristics of the LM6000s. The credit agreement covers a loan from JP Morgan Chase Bank to Aksa where GE Capital Markets acted as the financial advisor. Ex-Im Bank guaranteed $55mn of the loan with the remainder guaranteed by HEXIM, Coface, and EDC. It was the first time Ex-Im Bank concluded a credit agreement involving co-financing with more than two other ECAs. Two Siemens 283-MW simple-cycle SGT5-4000F gas turbines were ordered for Phase-2 and the entire project is expected to cost $1.1bn.
