Quick Facts: Columbia EC is in Boone Co. The plant was developed by Ameren Energy Generating Co and eventually operated by Ameren Energy Marketing. Columbia Water and Light had a 25% statke in the plant and bought half the output. In April 2011, Columbia voters approved a $49.5mn bond issue to purchase remaining shares of the plant from Ameren. The city took full control of the plant on 1 Jun 2011.

Quick Facts: The Dogwood facility is owned by Kelson Holdings and located in Cass County, near Pleasant Hill. The facility can serve load in SPP and has the option of participating in the MISO market. The project was originally known as Aries and developed by Aquila Energy. In Jan 2000, Calpine acquired a 50% stake in the project and purchased the remaining 50% in Mar 2004. Kelson acquired the project in Jan 2007 for $234mn.

Quick Facts: Development at the State Line site began in 1993 and a 98-MW simple-cycle GT was completed in May 1995. In 1997, a 150-MW machine was installed. In 1998, Empire said it would add a second GT and a steam set to convert this GT to combined-cycle operation. The CCGT block was completed in Jun 2001. Westar Generating is a partner in the CCGT block.
