Quick facts: This small hydro plan is at a historic site on the River Ybbs. During construction, special attention was paid to the environmentally compatible design of it surroundings. Apart from various "eco-zones" in blind river branches, EVN also created a modern fish ladder and a passage for the natural freight of the river. Two natural pools were developed for public recreational use along with Ybbs Nature Park.

Quick facts: The River Ybbs winds 34km between the towns of Göstling and Opponitz on its way to the Danube and drops about 120m in the process. In the 1920s, Städtischen Elektrizitätswerken Wien undertook the construction of this power station and a 110 kV overhead power line connecting Opponitz, Gresten and Vienna. In 1994, the power station was overhauled and equipped with new technology. The distribution pipelines, the turbines and the generators were renovated, leaving only the listed building in its original form.
