Andenne Location: Belgium Operator: EDF Luminus Configuration: 3 X 3.05 MW Straflow Operation: 1980 T/G supplier: Sulzer Escher Wyss Quick facts: This plant is at the Andenne lock on the Meuse. Annual production is about 40 GWh. The Andenne power station is controlled remotely starting from the control room at the downstream Ivoz-Ramet plant. The Straflow turbines are 3.55m in diameter. Butgenbach Location: Belgium Operator: Electrabel Configuration: 1 X 1.79 MW Operation: 1933 T/G supplier: ?? Quick facts: Bütgenbach Lake, located in the Amblève watershed of the Haute Ardenne, is an artificial lake fed primarily by water Warche and Holzwarche. During the summer of 2004, Electrabel undetook major dam maintenance and repair works that required the complete emptying of the 120ha lake. Annual productionof the SHP at the dam is 2 GWh. The original equipment comprised two 440-kW Fancis sets installed in 1954. In May 2007, SWEDE authorized the expenditure of €4mn to acquire and install two new, larger machines.
