Quick facts: In Jul 2009, Mavel signed a contract to provide electromechanical equipment for this greenfield, low-head SHP on the Neman River 8km from Grodno City. Financing was provided by the Czech Export Bank. Each 3m diameter turbine utilizes the head of 7 meters and flow of 60 cms. The project was the first for Mavel in Belarus and the first utilizing CEB financing.

Quick facts: This is the largest installed hydroelectric plant in Belarus. Construction began in 1946 at an old watermill site on the River Svisloch. The plant was put online in Nov 1953. Normal waterflow is only sufficient for two sets. The plant is under reconstruction.
