Quick facts: Shuikou is on the Minjiang River 94km downstream of Nanping City. Average annual generation is 4,950mn GWh.
The plant has some of China’s largest shiplocks. The concrete gravity dam is 101m high with a crest length of 783m. The project took just under 10yrs
to build at a cost of RMB 8.5bn. Funding was from the World Bank.
