Quick facts: The Hnevkovice reservoir on the Vlatava River covers 312ha and primarily serves to store process water for the Temelin nuclear plant. For this latter purpose, a pumping station and a 110kV substation were constructed. The concrete gravity dam is 16.5m high and 191m long with the powerhouse in the left-bank section.

Kamyk

Quick facts: The Kamyk plant is part of the Vltava Cascade and its 10km reservoir links up with the stilling basin of the Orlík hydroelectric plant. The concrete gravity dam is 24.5m high and 158m long. It has a lock allowing river traffic to travel between the Kamyk and Slapy reservoirs. The facility has a 110kV substation.

Quick facts: This is the largest conventional hydroelectric power plant in the Czech Republic. The 26km˛ Orlik reservoir holds 720mn m˛ of water and is the largest in the country. Together with the Lipno reservoir, it is serves for long-term water flow regulation of the Vltava River and the lower course of the Labe River.
