Quick facts: This SHP is in downtown Horb am Neckar and was built by local firm Horb am Necakr GmbH (1/3) and Statdwerke Tubingen (2/3). It complemented two100yr old, SHPs on the Muhlkanal at Flosserwasen. These were renovated as part of the project. Construction began in Dec 2009 and the €5.5mn scheme was dedicated in Apr 2011. Land Baden-Wurttemberg invested €1.2mn.

Iffezheim

Quick facts: The waterworks at Iffezheim on the Rhine are the result of a intergovernmental arrangement of France and Germany dating to 1969. In 1970, about 400ha of land was acquired on both banks and construction started in October 1974. The weir was completed at the end of 1978.  This photo shows construction underway on Unit-5.
