Quick facts: This run-of-river plant on the Danube was built following an Feb 1952 treaty between Austria and Germany for the joint development of a power station on the Danube. Quick facts: This was one of the flagship German hydro plants at the time of its construction and remains one of the larger, high-pressure storage plants in the country. The 400m pipeline array feeds a powerhouse with four Pelton sets providing railway power and four Francis machines producing grid electricity.  The operating head is 200m.  The power station was designed and implemented by Oskar von Miller and declared a national industrial monument in 1983. Construction started in Nov 1918
