Quick facts: The Perucica complex has three earth dams, 20km of canals, a 3.3km, 4.8m diameter tunnel, and three penstocks. Annual production is about 930 GWh and the plant is connected to the grid with 220- and 110kV switchyards. Voith Hydro is rehabilitating the plant automation and controls systems.

Piva

Quick facts: The Piva Dam is one of the tallest in Europe at 220m. When the dam was built, the 16th century Piva Monastery had to be relocated to higher ground 3.5km away. The complete process took 12yrs, complicated by the need to carefully disassemble and reassemble 1,260mē of frescoes painted between 1604 and 1626.
