Quick facts: Isenthal was refurbished in 2008 at a cost of SF 2.3mn. The
plant controls, MV switchgear, and transformer were replaced and the
pressure tunnels inspected and repaired. Among other things, this project
increased plant output by about 5%.

Quick facts: Kleintal is fed by waters from Chlitalbach stream dammed
above Isenthal village. In 2006, EWA contacted with ABB for a new
removable stator, voltage regulator and synchronization system. ABB also
dismantled the generator and removed it to Birr for reconditioning. The
equipment was restarted in Mar 2008 with power output up about 10%.
