Quick facts: Comanche Peak-1 began supplying electricity on 13 Aug 1990 and over the next 25 years, the plant supplied 422 TWh of electricity. The NPP has a 10,000ac site about 45mi southwest of Fort Worth. The 3,275ac Squaw Creek Reservoir was built for cooling purposes. The containment structures are 265ft tall.

Quick facts: Grand Gulf-1 went commercial on 1 Jul 1985. A sister unit was cancelled. In Oct 2012, Shaw Group completed an $800mn uprating project that bought gross capacity to 1,443 MW, about a 13% increase. This made Gand Gulf the world's largest BWR and the largest individual generating unit in the USA.
