Tongbai

Quick facts: The Tongbai PSP is at the foot of the Tongbai Mountains in
Tiantai county. The plant cost about RMB 4.2bn and annual production is
expected to be 2,8 TWh. Project investors include East China Electric Power, Zhejiang Provincial Electric
Power, Shanghai Municipal Electric Power, Shenneng Co, Zhejiang Provincial
Electric Power Development Co, and Tiantai Hydro Electric Development Co.
Construction started in in May 2000, and the first two were put into
operation in Dec 2005 and Oct 2006, witht he second two online in Dec
2006. Siemens built the main transformer and ABB supplied the
gas-insulated switchgear.

Quick facts: This shows the main power dam of the Xiangshuijian PSP project in the Tongguanshan Mountains, E'qiao town,
Sanshan district, Wuhu City. The rated head is 363m. The main dam is a
composite rockfill structure faced with reinforced concrete, plus a
concrete retaining wall. It is 88m high, 520m long, and cost 3.8bn yuan. The dam was finished in Oct 2010.

Yixing

Quick facts: In Jan 2000, the State Economic and Trade Commission approved the Yixing PSP in the Tonggong Mountains near Yixing City in southern Jiangsu province.
The new plant cost Rmb 4.78bn and is linked to the grid by a new 500kV transmission line.
Project participants include China National Nuclear Industrial Corp, East China Power Group, Jiangsu International Trust and Investment Co, Jiangsu Power Co, and the Yixing City Government.
In March 2003, the World Bank approved a $145mn loan for the project and main construction got underway in Aug 2003.
