Quick facts: After 9mos of construction, the Rovigo plan opened on 23 Nov 2010 as Europe's largest PV power station. The Rovigo project was acquired by First Reserve through a previously announced JV with SunEdison. Around the time the Rovigo plant went online, First Reserve announced the execution of a
26mn project finance facility for the project with a group of banks including Banco Santander, Unicredit Corporate Banking, Dexia Crediop, Natixis, Societe Generale and Credit Agricole. SunEdison remains a minority investor and manages project O&M.
