Arnedo Location: La Rioja Operator: T-Solar Configuration: 34.19 MWp Operation: 2008 System supplier: T-Solar EPC: Isolux Corsán Quick facts: This €181mn plant was built on a 70ha plant in 6½mos. It was one of the world's largest PV installations at completion. There are 172,000 200 Wp modules installed, each weighing 18kg. Annual output is expected to be 44 GWh/yr and the solar park will have 10 full-time employees. The plant was designed to make for easy dismantling at the end of its useful life. Prefabricated ballast beams eliminated buried foundations and rolled hot galvanized members were used for the metallic supporting structures. These will be easily recycled.
