The job too 6wks and was completed to budget and schedule on 28 Dec 2009. A new roofing system was built simultaneously.

Bayonne Solar Location: NJ Operator: Bayonne Board of Education Configuration: 2 MWp PV Operation: 2006 System supplier: PowerLight Corp EPC: T&M Associates, SM Electric Co Inc Quick facts: At completion in Jan 2006, this $13.2mn project was the largest of its kind on the East Coast. The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), the Bayonne Board of Education, and the state Board of Education installed solar panels at Bayonne High School and eight elementary schools. The project was made possible in part by a $5.4mn grant of equipment and installation credits from the NJ Clean Energy Program.

Canal Road Wastewater Treatment Plant Location: NJ Operator: New Jersey American Water Configuration: 500 kWp PV Operation: 2005 System supplier: RWE Schott EPC: Dome-tech Solar Quick facts: The system includes over 2,800 solar panels. It is expected to provide around 15% of the electricity requirements of the wastewater plant and save about $125,000/yr.

Macy's Newport Centre Location: NJ Operator: PPL Renewable Energy Configuration: 390 kWp PV Operation: 2006 System supplier: ?? EPC: PPL Renewable Energy Quick facts: This installation provides 15% of Macy's peak electricity requirements and and was designed and installed by PPL. PPL also owns and operates the project and sells electricity to Macy's under a long-term agreement. Output is expected to be 435 MWH/yr.

Mars Solar Garden Location: NJ Operator: PSEG Solar Source Configuration: 2 MWp PV Operation: 2009 System supplier: First Solar EPC: juwi solar inc Quick facts: This system comprises 28,000 solar panels on 18ac adjacent to Mars Chocolate North America's headquarters in Hackettstown. Output is equivalent to about 20% of the factory's peak load.

Pennsauken Landfill Location: NJ Operator: PPL Renewable Energy Configuration: 500 kWp PV Operation: 2006 System supplier: ?? EPC: PPL Renewable Energy Quick facts: The electricity from these panels is used to power blowers that pump landfill gas to a PPL Energyplus power plant with three Cat 3516 engines. The landfill is owned by the Pollution Control Financing Authority of Camden County, which partnered with PPL and the New Jersey Clean Energy Program to build the PV plant. Annual output is expected to be 560 MWh.

Vineland Solar One Location: NJ Operator: Calpine Corp Configuration: 4.1 MWp PV Operation: 2009 System supplier: SunPower Corp EPC: SunPower Corp Quick facts: Vineland Solar One was developed by a a partnership of Vineland Municipal Electric Utility (VMEU), Landis Sewerage Authority (LSA) and Conectiv. Calpine purchased the facility in 2010. The solar array has 13,000 panels on fixed structures built on a brownfield site. It cost about $24mn.
