Quick facts: Anhui Bengbu was approved by NDRC in Mar 2007. The site is on
the Huaihe River 38km from Bengbu's urban area. The supercritical power station cost
4.32bn yuan and is a joint investment of China Guodian (55%),
Anhui Province Energy Group (35%), and Bengbu Construction Investment (10%). Unit-1
went commercial on 30 Dec 2008 after 19mos and 5 days of construction
followed by Unit-2 on 20 Apr 2009.

Shenergy Co (20%), and Anhui Kangyuan Electric & Heat Power Co (5%). Chizhou had the first FGD scrubbers in the province.

Quick facts: In Sep 2006, construction began at the Fengtai power station on the Huai River in Huainan City. The supercritical project is a 50:50 JV of Zhejiang Energy Group and Huainan Mining Group and is a cooperative coal-by-wire venture based on Anhui's Huainan coalfield, which has about 300bn tons of coal and is the nearest big coalfield to Zhejiang. The first 1,200-MW phase of the Fengtai project was built near the Gubei Coal Mine, which will supply 6mn tpy of fuel. Unit-2 went commercial in Sep 2008, thereby completing Phase-I.
