Quick facts: Anhui Bengbu was approved by NDRC in Mar 2007. The site is on the Huaihe River 38km from Bengbu's urban area. The supercritical power station cost 4.32bn yuan and is a joint investment of China Guodian (55%),
Anhui Province Energy Group (35%), and Bengbu Construction Investment (10%). Unit-1 went commercial on 30 Dec 2008 after 19mos and 5 days of construction followed by Unit-2 on 20 Apr 2009.

The plant is owned by China Huadian Corp (40%), Anhui Province Energy Group Co (35%), Shenergy Co (20%), and Anhui Kangyuan Electric & Heat Power Co (5%). Chizhou has the first FGD scrubbers in the province.
