Quick facts: This plant 370km east of Beijing has wet limestone FGDs of Kawasaki design built by Beijing Bootes Electric Power Sci-Tec Co Ltd and air-cooling systems from SPX. Two more units are under construction and an additional pair are planned. The first phase project includes a 500kV connection and cost Rmb5.62bn. Siemens provided plant I&C and the control room.

Quick facts: This was the third supercritical plant in China. Power is sold to North China Power (Group) Corp. Panshan is owned by CLP Guohua Power Co Ltd (50%), North China Power (Group) (25%), and Tianjin Jinneng Investment Co (25%). In Sep 2005, Power Machines Group signed a servicing agreement for the Panshan and Suizhong plants.

Quick facts: At completion, these two supercritical sets were the largest thermal units in the country and were built for about Rmb 11bn. In mid-1994, American Electric Power proposed to build a pair of 1,300-MW coal-fired units at Suizhong, but this plan was later abandoned.

Quick facts: Beijing Yire power station is in Chaoyang District to the east of Tiananmen, Beijing. It is wholly owned by CLP Guohua and supplies heat as well as electricity to Beijing city. Both units have FGD systems, the second completed in 2003.
