Quick facts: This was the third supercritical plant in China. Power is sold to North China Power (Group) Corp. In Sep 2005, Power Machines Group signed a servicing agreement for the Panshan and Suizhong plants.

Quick facts: In 2000, Datang Power acquired a 60% interest in the second phase at Shentou, which started construction in Aug 2002. In Dec 2004, Shentou-3 entered operation 16 months ahead of schedule. The plant is connected at 500kV to the BTT grid. The cost of Units 3&4 is estimated at Rmb 4.73bn. In June 2004, the basic tariff for Shentou-2 was set at Rmb 270/MWh.

Suizhong

Quick facts: At completion, these two supercritical sets were the largest thermal units in the country and were built for about Rmb 11bn. In mid-1994, American Electric Power proposed to build a pair of 1,300-MW coal-fired units at Suizhong, but this plan was later abandoned.

Quick facts: Beijing Yire power station is in Chaoyang District to the east of Tiananmen, Beijing. It is wholly owned by CLP Guohua and supplies heat as well as electricity to Beijing city. Both units have FGD systems, the second completed in 2003.
