Bookrunner for the main financing package was Bank Negara Indonesia. Groundbreaking was in Jul 2009, with completion initially scheduled for 2012. The plant will connect to the 150kV grid.

Quick facts: In May 2008, CNTIC and PT Rekayasa Industri signed contracts with PLN for PLTU Teluk Sirih in Kec Bungu, 30km south of Padang. In Nov 2010, CNTIC contracted with Nanjing Turbines for a pair of 112-MW T/G sets for the coastal project. Commissioning for Unit-1 began in Nov 2013. The project was partially financed by China Development Bank.
