Quick facts: Moneypoint supplies about a quarter of Ireland’s electricity. In Aug 2004, Lurgi Lentjes got a €150mn order for three FGD scrubbers and three SCR systems for the plant. The new equipment will be phased in through 2008 and will bring the station into compliance with the EU Large Combustion Plant Directive.
