Quick facts: The first generating units at Compostilla I went online in 1945. The Unit-3 T/G set was MHI's first major power equipment sale into Spain. In May 2005, Endesa contracted with Inerco to install new combustion control systems at Compostilla and in Jan 2006, MHI received orders for FGD systems for Units 4&5. These were installed in consortium with Duro Felguera.

Quick facts: This site is on the Rio Nalon about 7km from Oviedo. Unit-2 went commercial on 28 Sep 1967 and Unit-2 on 8 Aug 1984. In Nov 2007, the Ministry of Industry approved the closure of Soto-1, a 68-MW unit that went online in 1962 and had 191,130hrs of service. Unit-3 is being retrofit with a Babcock-Hitachi FGD system. An Alstom 400-MW CCGT block was added in 2008 and a second was ordered for service in 2011.
