Quick facts: Units 1&2 are jointly owned by Hokuriku EPC and Sumitomo Aluminum Refinery Co operating as Toyama Kyodo Power Co. They were reconstructed in 1984 to allow for coal and oil firing. Units 3&4 are oil- fired only with supercritical boilers. The site is in an industrial area near the entrance to Toyama Bay and is connected to the grid by 154kV and 275kV switchyards. Other site features are seven 30,000kl oil storage tanks, a 3,000kl day tank, and a coal pile surrounded by an 18m wind shield fence.
