After completion of a new 14mi pipeline, Units 3&4 were converted from coal-firing to natural gas in May 2003. Unit-5 is a sister unit to Yorktown-3 and both are fueled with heavy oil. These are among the largest oil-fired units in the USA. A 550-MW gas-fired CCGT block was added at Possum Point in Jul 2003.
