The new WTGs replaced five old 250-kW HSW turbines and constituted one of the first repowering projects in Germany.

Braderup Location: SH Operator: Windpark Braderup GmbH Configuration: 4 X 2.3-MW 82VS, 4 X 3.6-MW 107 Operation: 2006 WTG supplier: Siemens Wind Power Quick facts: This repowering project near the Danish border was one of the largest to date in Germany. A total of 11 Micon 750-kW machines were replaced by two different SWP turbine models. The project halved the number of turbines, doubled capacity, and should approximately triple annual production.
