Te Rere Hau Location: MWT Operator: NZ Windfarms Ltd Configuration: 5 X 500-kW Windflow 500 Operation: 2006 WTG supplier: Windflow Technology Quick facts: The Te Rere Hau project is the commercial launch site for the new-design Windflow 500 WTG. The project is a joint venture of NZ Windfarms, Babcock & Brown, and NP Power. In Oct 2007, 16 additional machines were ordered for the site bringing the total number on order to 44 of the 97 WTG consented.
