Quick facts: In late 1997, a French consortium of equipment supplier CNIM and Paragon Litwin was awarded a contract for a WTE plant in Shanghai Pudong. The contract went live in May 1999 and the plant was commissioned in Jun 2002, the largest Chinese WTE plant at the time. The Yuqiao facility has a semi-wet flue gas cleaning system along with a fabric filter and an active carbon injection system.
