Quick facts: Throughput is about 320,000t MSW/yr. This plant was used to pilot the use of ChlorOut, a sulphate-containing group of additives used to reduce corrosive alkali chlorides in WTE plant flue gases. Unit-4 cost about €45mn and has a CFB boiler that can burn wood waste, flotsam, and other biomass.

Quick facts: The Enertec Hameln plant burns about 300,000 tpy of MSW and 100,000 tpy of waste wood. It was built at the site of the Afferde power station and the first WTE unit was one of the old coal-fired sets repowered. Electricity is sold into the system of E.ON Westfalen Weser AG and steam is used by local commercial and residential customers. Interargem GmbH is a JV of EEW Energy from Waste GmbH (61.2%), Stadtwerke Bielfeld (35.7%), and regional muncipalities (3.1%). A fourth line was added in 2009.
