Quick Facts: TRM is a joint venture of Tiru (45%), Acciona (45%), and Endesa (10%). The plant has two grate furnace lines with a design throughput of 160,000 tpy of MSW plus a sorting center that can handle 40,000 tpy, all collected in 26 municipalities of the Maresme region in northeast Catalonia. The plant was upgraded in 2002/03 and has ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certification.
