Quick Facts: This project serves Bialystok and nine neighboring municipalities and will consume about 80% of the area's MSW. The EPC contract for this project was signed on 31 Aug 2012 and the plant completed on 31 Dec 2015 to schedule. The cost was Zl 652mn, of which Zl 210mn came from EU funds. Thermal capacity is 17.5 MWt.

Quick facts: This was Poland's first WTE plant. Municipal waste company Zakład Unieszkodliwiania Stałych Odpadow Komunalnych formed an SPV called Eko Sp zoo develop the project in Targowek dist. Work began in Jun 1997 and the plant completed in Mar 2000. The plant was taken over by Miejskie Przedsiebiorstwo Oczyszczania (MPO) w m.st Warszawie Sp zoo in Dec 2011. Throughput is about 130,000 tpy of MSW.
