Quick facts: This power station in Chou-mei Borough, Peitou District of Taipei City, has the world's first restaurant on a power plant stack. The revolving eatery can seat up to 120 people and was inaugurated by Mayor Ma Ying-jeou on 1 Jan 2000. The 150m stack is at the junction of the Tamshui and Keelung rivers and the restaurant is 30m below the top of the structure.

Quick Facts: Taoyuan South is a two-line plant using roller-grate technology with a capacity of 1,350 tpd. If was the first private WTE plant in Taiwan and was built by a subsidiary of Evergreen Group. It is not far from Chaiang Kai-Shek International Airport. The turnkey job took 28mos.

Yongkang

Quick facts: Onyx Ta-Ho was awarded a 20yr operating concession for the Yongkang plant in Apr 2008. Design throughput is 280,000t. Yongkang was originally contracted to Dayin Group and Steinmuller in Nov 1998. In Jul 2002, the project was suspended by the bankruptcy of Dayin. About a year later, CNPC was contracted to finish the job.
